The Finest Hours - by Michael Tougias and Casey Sherman

I just finished reading The Finest Hours and recommend it to anyone interested in the sea, storms, or just a great true story.  The story is about the Coast Guard's rescuer of the crews of the oil tankers Pendelton and Fort Mercer in 1952.  In both cases the ships had literally broken into two pieced due to "dirty steal" and the forces of one of the bigest storms to hit New England.  The story of how Coast Guards men braved huge seas (70') in small boats (36') to rescue sailors is both terrifying and inspiring.
